Tactical Emergency Casualty Care + Prolonged Field Care - 2 day course
This Professional Development course will take you into the world of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care.
It will follow the guidelines set out by the US based Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care but will have an Anti Poaching Unit Ranger theme.
You will learn how to apply a tourniquet, pack wounds, apply chest seals, use basic airway adjuncts as well as providing the level of care appropriate to the tactical situation. Casualty handling and evacuation will also be covered. You will learn to provide longer term care during the night activity in our bush camp clinic including taking and understanding vital signs, the use of equipment such as Sphygmomanometers (blood pressure), stethoscopes, Pulse oximeter, Doppler ultrasonic device and oxygen provision equipment.
Be faced with realist casualty simulations that will challenge and confront you.
Will include an onsite night activity.
Free onsite camping offered and encouraged.
